Connecticut General Assembly Judiciary Committee approves bill raising the age of juvenile court to 21!

JJI applauds CT Gov. Malloy for his support of raising the age of juvenile court to 21 and the CT Judiciary Committee for passing the Second Chance 2.0 bill.  Only CT and IL are working on “raising the age” to 21.  In Illinois Rep. Fine is sponsoring HB6308 that would raise the age of juvenile court in Illinois to 21 for young people charged with misdemeanors.  Read more about that bill here.
